Chronological age: 60 days / Adjusted age: -2 weeks and 2 days
Family and friends, we just learned that after a week or two of staggered growth and bouts of “Bradies” (spells of slowed/stopped heart rate due to underdeveloped nervous systems), the girls’ overall meaningful and blessed improvement means the girls may be coming home, together,
THIS SATURDAY. TOMORROW.
We are excited to the brim, flooded with nerves and gratitude. This is sooner than anyone could have hoped, especially after being cautioned by their doctors that this last leg of prenatal development could take the longest. And much still has to happen before tomorrow: no more Bradies, stable weight gain/no loss, and they have to pass their final exam, the car seat test. But it seems it’s really happening.
After hours and miles of shadow, here comes the sun.
We will update this space as soon as we hear more. And we remain so intensely grateful and aware of the prayers and warm wishes that lifted them here. Thank you.

(Side note: We’ve been asked to share their registry here, and it now feels okay to do so. If you’re interested, it’s here! babylist.com/ButtonandBearSquires)
