Gestational age: 28 weeks +2 days
Another partially-cloudy, silver medal, red-ribbon day – and we’ll take it. Baby C continues to show intermittent diastolic flow (the least-dangerous stage of this very dangerous condition, and the one that buys us the most time), so Dr. Hayes happily wished us “another exceptionally boring day.”
The held-breath status quo of these two days could be due to amplification of Meghan’s oxygen therapy, or to the diagnosis and intervention of her pre-eclampsia, or to darn luck. It’s all that, we know, and it’s also the lightness we feel offered up by you all, by your well wishes arriving like buoys.
Oh! The twins showed off one other key milestone on today’s ultrasound: Hair. Soft new seaweed floating in yet another synchronized dance.
